Position Summary

The General Manager is responsible for the overall operation, profitability, and guest satisfaction of the café. This role leads the team in delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining brand standards, and achieving sales and financial goals while creating a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the café to ensure efficiency, cleanliness, and compliance with brand standards.

  • Ensure food and smoothie preparation meets quality and presentation standards.

  • Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in accordance with health department regulations.

  • Manage opening and closing procedures.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop team members and shift leaders.

  • Schedule staff effectively to meet business needs and control labor costs.

  • Foster a positive team culture focused on hospitality and teamwork.

    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching.

  • Financial Management

    • Achieve sales, profitability, and cost control targets.

    • Manage labor, food cost, and inventory to meet financial goals.

    • Review financial reports and identify opportunities to improve performance.

    • Ensure accurate cash handling and daily deposits.

  • Guest Experience

    • Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns promptly.

    • Ensure guests receive fast, friendly, and accurate service.

    • Build relationships with the local community to drive repeat business.

  • Inventory & Supply Management

    • Order food, beverage, and operational supplies.

    • Maintain proper inventory levels and reduce waste.

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, franchise standards, and local/state regulations.

  • Maintain food safety certifications and staff training requirements.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of restaurant or quick-service management experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

  • Experience managing labor, inventory, and financial reports.

  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
